Introducing Our QualityGal Team Members

Hello lovely QualityGal writers! I’m Mindy and I am thrilled to finally be introducing myself to you! I already feel like I know so many of you through your writing, so I think it’s about time I give you the opportunity to get to know me as well!
Saying that I’m a big kid wouldn’t be an understatement. I collect dolls and am in love with a cartoon mouse. His name is Mickey. Well, maybe I don’t love Mickey alone; his friends are pretty great too. Everything Disney, especially Walt Disney World, makes me as giddy as a kid at Christmas. I actually worked there for a while back in 2006/2007 and miss the theme parks almost as much as the gorgeous Florida weather. My primary hobby is that I collect, customize, and photograph Asian Ball Jointed Dolls…. I might be a little obsessed. I can ramble on for hours about them when given the opportunity and a person too polite to stop me.
While Disney and dolls certainly make me happy, a weekend where I have nothing to do except read a good book with my puppy sitting on my feet can certainly boost my mood. I will read almost any genre of book, but I’ll admit to a geeky love of Jane Austen and urban fantasy books. I love Vampires – as long as they don’t sparkle. Hi, my name is Katie. I want to introduce myself as one of the QualityGal editors and tell you all a little bit about myself. I love to read and write, and look forward to working with everyone. Two of my favorite things in the world are my dogs and Starbucks mocha lattes. My dogs are Elle, a teacup Yorkie, who weighs in at a whopping three and a half pounds, and Pepper, a very clumsy miniature Schnauzer. I’m not really a morning person but nothing will get me out of bed faster than a fresh cup of Starbucks coffee and my dogs jumping on my head. Geeks are great. I must fool people or something. I mean, I don’t have many geeky hobbies, but enjoy analytical thought, writing, and especially conversation! I’ve been known to give people headaches with my ever-inquiring mind. 🙂 Nice to read a little bit about our editors… the one’s leaving those encouraging little notes.

Katie – Pepper and Elle are two of the cutest dogs in the world. Work days with puppies in the mix are some of my favorites.
