Meeting the Deadline
Meeting the deadlines is extremely important, and they must be adhered to.
An automatic release tool will remove any/all overdue assignments from you if not completed by the due date at 3 p.m. Eastern time; this includes any/all returned projects, which MUST be completed within 48 hours.
If you are in need of an extension, please contact our staff between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time. If an extension can be granted, every effort will be made to do so. If not, the article will be released to the panel for another writer to complete.
If a writer fails to meet these guidelines, the article will be removed and released to the article pool for other writers to claim. If an article is released, all pay is automatically forfeited.
Again, if an extension is needed, please notify the OWJ staff.
Articles are tracked through many different steps of the claiming/submission process. It is important that writers do not habitually drop articles, and to drop an urgent article is extremely frowned upon. Please consider your ability to complete any assignment within its given time frame before claiming the assignment. The excessive dropping of articles will not be tolerated. If you feel that you do need to release an article, please include a reasonable explanation for the release.
Thank you.
