Urgent Articles & Article Drops

Good Afternoon Writers,

Over the past week or so articles have started to pick up again. Many of these articles are urgent, meaning that QG staff, writers included, are on a tight deadline to get this content to our clients. In the past it has been emphasized that dropping articles is unacceptable. We have been hesitant to penalize writers who drop articles, however this has become a consistent problem and needs to be rectified immediately.

We fully understand that sometimes emergencies do come up and deadlines can not be met; please contact QualityGal if that is the case.

Dropping articles reflects negatively on a writers ability to meet deadlines and puts fellow writers and QG staff under pressure to produce articles within an even tighter deadline. QualityGal is committed to producing quality content within a specific time frame. We can’t do this without our writers commitment and dedication!

Dropped Article Reminder

Good Morning Writers:

As I’m sure many of you have noticed, there has been a decline in the number of article titles available; we are expecting the number of articles to pick up again and appreciate the dedication and patience of all of the QG writers.

To best manage the available assignments and make sure everyone has a fair shot to grab up some assignments, we would like to reiterate the importance of completing claimed projects by the assigned due date. Dropped assignments will not be tolerated. We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances; in an emergency please email QG and we will work with each article on a case by case basis.

Spring 2010 Writer Survey

Happy Monday Writers, I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed some sunshine.

I went kayaking on Saturday which was very relaxing. A tip to beginning kayakers  everywhere, and other water-activity lovers: leave your phone at home! I returned back to dry land with a semi-functioning PDA because I insisted on bringing my phone in the kayak, not a good idea in retrospect. Between the waves made by huge speedboats on the lake and paddling the kayak, me and the phone were sopping wet by the end of the adventure. With the help of a hairdryer, we both survived to text, tweet, and talk another day!

I had an epiphany over the weekend, I keep nudging everyone to give feedback about QG, because if nobody says anything, we have no way of improving. But then it dawned on me that not everyone would be comfortable leaving feedback in an email or a comment, because then the writer would have to be named. Well, we got a bit creative and came up with a new solution. Read more ›

Canine Agility CompetitionPhoto By mister b 1138 (Flickr)

Happy Friday Writers! We are winding down from another week, I hope everyone has something fun planned for the weekend, maybe a visit to the park to soak up the sun (don’t forget the sunblock!) or playing outside with the kids. Whatever it may be, enjoy your weekend!

We do have one last matter that needs to be addressed before the week is out, we have a project available, but it does require a few credentials. We are looking for a writer with considerable knowledge of canine agility competitions, health, and training. We need someone with experience in training and showing dogs, ideally with a focus on agility training. This does not describe the average pet owner.
