Use of Keywords and Parentheses for Optimized Projects

Hi QG writers! You have probably noticed lately that we have had a lot more keyword optimized projects available to claim. Overall you are doing a great job with the optimized projects, thanks for all your help!
We have noticed that some people are placing parentheses around keywords that already exist on the page. Please do not do this, it is not acceptable. Parentheses are used by us as a way to identify the keywords that you added to the page. If parentheses are placed around keywords that already exist, it makes it very difficult to identify the keywords that you added. We will not be able to accept articles that have parentheses included around already existing keywords on the page. Please keep this in mind when completing optimized projects.
We are always here to answer questions regarding keyword usage or anything else you have a question about. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

How to Use Keywords & The Importance of Avoiding Keyword Stuffing

Keywords are an important aspect of SEO writing. Because keywords are identical to the phrases that people type into search engines when they are looking for something online, adding these keywords throughout an article will help the search engine to know that the article is related to what a person is searching for.  It is important when using keywords to make them sound natural. It is really important that keywords are not used too many times as this will throw up a red flag and could actually be detrimental to the website the content is going on as opposed to being beneficial. You do not have to include keywords more times than requested in the instructions for any given article.

Title Tag & Meta Description Fields

Good Morning QG Writers,

We have done a couple of updates to the writer panel and want to make you all aware of them. I am sure you have noticed that some projects now require a title tag and Meta description to be included. While the title tag and Meta description fields will show up for all assignments you are only required to provide title tags and Meta descriptions when they are specifically requested in the assignment instructions. We have also included a character count above both the title tag and Meta description fields to ensure that they are long enough. Please note that character count for title tags and Meta descriptions includes spaces. When title tags and Meta descriptions are needed for an assignment you will be provided with links in the article instructions to further information on writing title tags and Meta descriptions.

Writer Panel Updates!

Happy Wednesday!  Our fantastic programming team has updated the writer panel for us by adding new fields to projects that are in progress. If you notice above the Writer Area where you enter your article there are now lines for your Meta Description and Title Tag. This way when completing an article requiring Title Tags and Meta Descriptions you can just enter them in the corresponding fields. Easy peasy! If your article does not require Titles and Metas, just ignore the fields and enter your article as usual.

As always, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to send an email!
