Linking to Sites With ANY Connection to the Writer is Unacceptable

Good Afternoon Writers:

I just wanted to make you aware of a linking expectation that might have been unclear up to this point. QualityGal writers are held to high standards of excellence, especially when it comes to links. Writers should not use links to any sites that they are affiliated with, have a personal connection to, or are in any way involved with; this includes but is not limited to:

  • sites owned by the writer
  • sites that are owned by any individual that the writer has any personal connection to or associates with

We were forced to let a writer go this week, because we found that they have been linking to sites that they owned and had affiliations with in their articles. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Links are being closely monitored and any writer found to be using links to sites that they have a connection with or own will be terminated immediately.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this linking policy,
please email or call the QualityGal office for clarification.

We appreciate our writer’s commitment to quality work and hope that this reminder will help to ensure we are including only the most authoritative and appropriate links in our content.

Thank you,

QG

    What?!? REEEEAAALLLY?!!!?????

I couldn’t help but to think of the followng parody:

    Your’e so vain

You probably think this story’s about you…..

I mean, COME ON, we already know these projects aren’t about us, we’re supposed to find non-commercial links as much as possible. I can’t imagine what topic this person wrote about that would make them think that it would make sense to link back to their affliate site, or that they wouldn’t get caught.

    DUH!

It’s unfortunate we had to lose a writer over something that could have been so easily avoided… Hopefully everyone else will take note!

  3. I take note of this message. It is very clear and to the point.
